13094 RESOLUTION NO. 13094
WHEREAS, the Trustees of the City of Miami Beach
Employees ' Retirement System have recommended to the City
Council that THORNDIKE, DORAN, PAINE & LEWIS, INC. be
retained as Investment Counsel for the said Retirement
System, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach has found that the said recommendation is well founded,
and
WHEREAS, an Agreement has been prepared retaining
said THORNDIKE, DORAN, PAINE & LEWIS , INC. as Investment
Counsel for a period of one (1) year commencing September 2, 1970,
and the City Council is familiar with the terms and provisions
of said Agreement, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach deems it to be in the best interests of the City of
Miami Beach, its employees, citizens and residents, that
said Agreement be executed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor
and City Clerk-Finance Director be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and
in behalf of the City of Miami Beach, and the appropriate
financial and disbursing officials of the City of Miami Beach
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to pay and
disburse the sum or sums set forth in said Agreement.
