RESOLUTION NO. 13101
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, is considering the adoption of a comprehensive study
of the entire City with reference to a density control pattern;
and
WHEREAS , in the adoption of an appropriate density
pattern to be effective, certain studies must be made as to
the suitable areas wherein the City must exercise controls
with reference to traffic, water, sewage disposal and the
control of living densities;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public hearing
be and the same is hereby called to be held on October 7,
1970 at 2 : 00 P.M. in the Cypress Room, Convention Hall South,
1700 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida, for the purpose
of determining whether or not a "stop" or "freeze" should be
placed upon the issuance of new building permits for all
construction other than single family residences.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Clerk and Finance
Director be and she is hereby directed to give at least
fifteen (15) days ' notice of the time, place and object of
said hearing by public notice thereof published in the Miami
Beach Sun and the Miami Beach Times, newspapers of general
circulation in said City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of September, 1970.
