13187 RESOLUTION NO. 13187
WHEREAS, the CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, is considering the locating and fixing a certain
bulkhead line in connection with that certain tract of land
therein owned by the said CITY, and upon which is located an
existing monument or memorial commonly known as "The Flagler
Monument" ; and
WHEREAS, the CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
is authorized, under the provisions of Section 253 .122 , Florida
Statutes 1969, to locate and fix such bulkhead line upon its own
initiative, provided that a Public Hearing is held pursuant
to the provisions of Section 253 . 122 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a Public Hearing be
and the same is hereby called to be held on the third day
of March , 1971, at 3 : 00 o'clock P. M. , in the
Council Chambers, Convention Hall, in the Cypress Room thereof,
Miami Beach, Florida, for the purpose of locating and fixing the
bulkhead lines in Biscayne Bay, said lines being shown on a
plan, map, or sketch in the Public Works Department of the CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Clerk be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to give thirty (30) days ' notice of the
time, place and object of said Hearing, by public notice thereof,
to be published for three (3) consecutive weeks in the MIAMI BEACH
TIMES , a newspaper of general circulation in Dade County, Florida;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Clerk be, and he is hereby
authorized and directed to send copies of such notice by Certified
or Registered Mail to each riparian owner of upland lying within
one thousand (1, 000) feet of the said proposed bulkhead line.
