13202 RESOLUTION NO. 13202
WHEREAS, SENATOR GEORGE L. HOLLAHAN, JR. has worked
diligently for the State of Florida, and has dedicated his life to
vigorous and enlightened representation of the people who form
his constituency, and merits high honor for his fifteen years of
continuous, uninterrupted and inspired legislative and governmental
labors on behalf of the State of Florida, the County of Dade, and
the City of Miami Beach, and
WHEREAS, SENATOR GEORGE L. HOLLAHAN, JR. is to be the
Guest of Honor at a Testimonial Dinner to be held in the Coral Gables
Country Club, at which dinner, the Governor of the State of Florida, the
HONORABLE REUBEN ASKEW, will be Honorary Chairman, and the Comptroller
of the State of Florida, HONORABLE FRED O. DICKINSON, will be Chief
Speaker, and at which dinner, there will be innumerable dignitaries
of the State of Florida, County of Dade,&City of Miami Beach, present,
and
WHEREAS, the CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH desires
to advise the Honorable Senator Hollahan of the high regard and esteem
in which they, and the residents of their City ,hold him;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the said City Council
commends and extends to him their warmest congratulations for itself,
the individual members of the City Council, and for the citizens and
residents of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, for the outstanding
and exceptional contributions he has made to the State of Florida,
Dade County, and the City of Miami Beach, in his public career, and
also they extend to him the continued best wishes for his continued
success in his distinguished governmental life; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it extends its best wishes for the
abounding success of the said Dinner being held in testimony and
acknowledgment of his contributions to the public good and welfare.
