13204 RESOLUTION NO. 1320,4
WHEREAS, the City Council of the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, is considering the locating, fixing, and altering the
bulkhead lines in Biscayne Bay, in connection with that certain
tract of submerged land therein owned by the said City, and
commonly known as PELICAN ISLAND, with a view of acquiring an
additional tract or tracts of submerged land adjoining and abut-
ting said existing tract, presently owned by the said CITY; and
WHEREAS, the said City Council of the said CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, is authorized, under the provisions of Section 253. 122,
Florida Statutes, 1965, to locate and fix such bulkhead line upon
its own initiative, provided that a Public Hearing is held, pursuant
to the provisions of said Section 253. 122;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a Public Hearing be, and
the same is hereby called, to be held on the 21st day of April ,
1971 , at 2.00 o ' clock P .M, in the Council Chambers, Conven-
tion Hall, in the Cypress Room thereof, Miami Beach, Florida, for
the purpose of locating, fixing and altering the bulkhead lines
in Biscayne Bay, said lines being as shown on a ,plan, map, or
sketch in the Public Works Department of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Clerk be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to give thirty (30) days ' notice of the
time, place and object of said hearing, by public notice thereof,
to be published for three (3) consecutive weeks in the MIAMI NEWS,
a newspaper of general circulation in Dade County, Florida; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Clerk be, and he is hereby
authorized and directed to send copies of such notice by Certified
or Registered Mail to each riparian owner of upland lying within
one thousand (1, 000) feet of the said proposed bulkhead line.
