RESOLUTION NO. 13250
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the City of Miami Beach, Florida
will contribute goods and services having a value of Two
Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250, 000) to each of the
National Political Conventions, i.e. , of the Republican
and Democratic Parties, if the convention or conventions
of said Party--or Parties be held in the City of Miami
Beach, it being suggested that, in addition thereto, the
Tourist Development Authority will contribute Two Hundred
Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250, 000) ; the Hotel Industry,
One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100, 000) ; and that the Party,
airlines and affiliated industries will contribute Four
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400, 000) ; with the further sug-
gestion that any contributions from the TV and radio networks
and their affiliates would be utilized to reimburse the City
of Miami Beach and then the Tourist Development Authority, in
that order, pro tanto, for their respective contributions.
