SUBJECT: Temporary Closure of Housing and C mmunity Services to Enable Move
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to advise the Mayor and Commission that the Office
of Housing and Community Services (HCS) will be closed from 11 am on Monday, June 26th
through Wednesday, June 28th as it relocates to its new, temporary location at 1660
Pennsylvania Avenue.
As you may know, HCS is currently housed at 555 -17th Street, across the street from City Hall.
The 555 building will undergo mold remediation requiring the relocation of all personnel and
operations for the duration of remediation efforts. Remediation is expected to take at least eight
weeks. HCS will reopen for business on Thursday, June 29th, at its new location.
