RESOLUTION NO. 13278
WHEREAS, Metropolitan Dade County has applied
for and has had approved Federal funding for the purpose of
administering a Comprehensive Drug Abuse Program; and
WHEREAS, Metropolitan Dade County is desirous
of utilizing the facilities of the City of Miami Beach' s
Operation Re-entry Drug Abuse Program in conjunction with
the County' s Comprehensive Drug Abuse Program; and
WHEREAS, the County Attorney has prepared an
Agreement which, in essence, provides that Metropolitan
Dade County shall pay for personnel employed by the City in
its Operation Re-entry Program in return for use of said
Program' s facilities for persons referred by the Metropolitan
Dade County Drug Abuse Program to Operation Re-entry for pro-
fessional treatment services ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach deems it to be in the best interest of the City, its
citizens and residents, to enter into said Agreement with
Metropolitan Dade County, embodying the terms and conditions
thereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor
and the City Clerk-Finance Director be, and they hereby are,
authorized and directed to enter into and execute said Agree-
ment for and in behalf of the City of Miami Beach, its
citizens and residents.
