13281 RESOLUTION NO. 13281
A RESOLUTION URGING DEFEAT OF PENDING
STATE LEGISLATION THAT WILL ACT TO
REDUCE THE CITY'S REVENUE FROM ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGE LICENSING.
WHEREAS, there is pending in the Florida Legisla-
ture, House Bill No. 630, and Senate Bill No. 644; and
WHEREAS, said Bills will revise the alcoholic
beverage licensing fees for the State, counties and munici-
palities; and
WHEREAS, said revisions will act to the financial
detriment of the City of Miami Beach and to the detriment
of other municipalities in Dade County, as well as other
municipalities throughout the State of Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the State
Legislature be urged to defeat House Bill No. 630 and Senate
Bill No. 644, and that copies of this Resolution be provided
to the Senators and Representatives from Dade County and to
other municipalities in Dade County, with the request that
they enact and distribute similar resolutions.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach this 5th day of May, 1971.
