Summer is here, which means it's time to get your play on. This July, the City of Miami Beach
Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating Park and Recreation Month, an initiative of the
National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), and all the ways parks and recreation has
the power to transform our daily lives. Join us as we #PiayOnJuly with our circus theme "The
Greatest Parks on Earth".
WOW WOW Doggie Event
Saturday, July 1st
Location: Washington Avenue Dog Park-201 2nd Street
Time: 10 AM -12 PM
Description: Come show off your dog's incredible talents! Costume contents and best trick
contest will be offered for both you and your "wow wow". Join us to enjoy a day of music, a
photo booth, giveaways, a splash pad, doggie pool and more!

The Amazing Zumbathon
Tuesday, July 18th
Location: North Shore Band Shell-7275 Collins Avenue
Time: 6:30-8:00pm
Description: Show off your amazing dance moves! Join Zumba instructor Fernando from the
City's Zumba program for a spectacular Zumbathon at the North Shore Band Shell. Dress in
best Circus Curiosity Themed attire and Zumba along to some of today's greatest hits!

Wonderous Senior Water Aerobics!
Friday, July 28
Location: Flamingo Park Pool -12th Street & Michigan Avenue
Time: 8 AM -9 AM
Description: Seniors 55+ are welcome to come out for a morning of fun Circus Curiosity
Themed giveaways and snacks and water aerobics fun.
Cost: Free
The department will also offer Miami Beach residents free access to the Scott Rakow Youth
Center and North Shore Park Youth Center Fitness Centers for the whole month (after 6:00pm
and on the weekends), promoting overall health and wellness in the City. Additionally, in an
effort to get City employees involved, the Parks and Recreation Department will be surprising a
few departments with Pop-Up Recreation sessions.
