13323 RESOLUTION NO. 13323
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA MEMORIALIZING THE
GOVERNOR TO REQUEST THAT THE FEDERAL
GOVERNMENT GIVE FEDERAL AID UNDER THE FEDERAL
ESTUARY ACT TO THE CITY FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF
THE BAY BOTTOM IN THE VICINITY OF PELICAN
ISLAND.
WHEREAS, federal funds appear to be available under the
Federal Estuary Act; and
WHEREAS , request for federal funds under the Federal
Estuary Act can only be initiated by the Governor ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH:
That the Governor be memorialized to request that the
federal government, give federal aid, under the Federal Estuary
Act, to the City for the improvement of the bay bottom in the
vicinity of Pelican Island.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of July, 1971.
