13338 RESOLUTION NO. 13338
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA MEMORIALIZING THE
METRO COMMISSION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION SO AS
TO PROHIBIT ANY FUTURE FILLING OR DREDGING OF
BISCAYNE BAY.
WHEREAS , restriction on filling or dredging in Biscayne
Bay is necessary to preserve the ecolgy of the Bay; and,
WHEREAS , exception has been made for future City
projects already in the planning;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH:
That the Metro Commission be memorialized to adopt a
resolution so as to prohibit any future filling or dredging of
Biscayne Bay.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 18th day of August, 1971.
