13375 RESOLUTION NO. 13375
WHEREAS the City of Miami Beach, Florida, desires
to enter into an Agreement with the 1972 Democratic National
Convention Committee for the holding of the 1972 Democratic
National Convention in the Convention Hall of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida; and
WHEREAS an Agreement has been duly prepared setting
forth the several terms and provisions thereof and with
which the City Council of the City of Miami Beach is familiar,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor
and the City Clerk-Finance Director be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to execute and deliver said Agreement,
for and in the name of the City of Miami Beach, and the
appropriate officers , agents and employees of the City be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to fully and
faithfully carry out, execute and perform all the terms,
provisions , covenants and conditions of said Agreement
incumbent upon the City of Miami Beach to perform.
The adoption of the foregoing Resolution was jointly
moved by the Honorable Mayor Jay Dermer, the Honorable
Vice-Mayor Leonard 0. Weinstein, and the Honorable City
Councilmen Robert S. Goodman, Herbert Magnes , D. Lee Powell
and Harold Rosen, except Councilman Jerome G. Greene, who
was unavoidably absent but who conveyed his concurrence in
said action.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of September , 1971.
