RESOLUTION APPROVING, RATIFYING AND
CONFIRMING RESOLUTION NO. 13375
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING EXECUTION
OF CONTRACT WITH 1972 DEMOCRATIC
NATIONAL CONVENTION COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, at a special meeting convened and held on
September 8, 1971, adopted Resolution No. 13375 authorizing
the Mayor and the City Clerk-Finance Director to execute
and deliver, for and in behalf of the City of Miami Beach,
a formal written Agreement between the City of Miami Beach
and the 1972 Democratic National Convention Committee for
the holding of the 1972 Democratic National Convention in
the Convention Hall of the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire and intent of the City
Council that the said action of the City Council had and
taken at said special meeting be approved, ratified and
confirmed,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the action
of the City Council of the City of Miami Beach had and taken
at the special meeting of the said City Council on September 8,
1971, in directing and authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk-
Finance Director to execute and deliver that said formal written
Contract and Agreement by and between the City of Miami Beach
and the 1972 Democratic National Convention Committee for the
holding of the 1972 Democratic National Convention in the City
of Miami Beach be and the same is hereby approved, ratified and
confirmed, and the action of the said Mayor and the said City
Clerk-Finance Director in the premises are likewise hereby
formally approved, ratified and confirmed and all the officers,
agents and employees of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to fully and faith-
fully carry out, execute and perform all the terms, provisions,
covenants and conditions of said Agreement incumbent upon the
City of Miami Beach to perform.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of September, 1971.
