13403 RESOLUTION NO. 13403
WHEREAS, the Federal-Aid Act of 1970 requires an
Urban System of highways be established and that projects be
selected by the State Highway Department in cooperation with
local officials ; and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of
Transportation has prepared an Urban System of Highways within
the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida has reviewed the Urban System of Highways for Miami Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNDIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the said Urban
System of Highways for the City of Miami Beach, and the same is
hereby approved and adopted in principle with the exception of
the Beach Causeway located between the Julia Tuttle and the
79th Street Causeways ; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the mayor is authorized to execute
the required approval; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT copies of this resolution be
transmitted to the proper officials of the State of Florida.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 6th day of October, 1971.
