13427 RESOLUTION NO. 13427
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Charter
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida and the General Laws
of the State of Florida, the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach must approve and adopt, not later than September
30th of each year, its annual budget for the operation of
the government of the City of Miami Beach for the next
ensuing year, together with adequate provisions for meeting
its debts and bonded obligations, and
WHEREAS, in order to consider, approve and adopt
such annual budget, it is necessary for the City Council to
devote the highest possible degree of study and diligence in
order to fulfill the Council ' s duty and responsibilities in
the premises;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the budget
proposed and recommended by the City Manager shall be presented
to the City Council for its study, consideration and appropriate
action not later than the first day of July of each year.
The adoption of the above and foregoing Resolution
was moved by the Honorable Jerome Greene.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of October , 1971.
