13428 RESOLUTION NO. 13428
WHEREAS , there has been submitted to the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, a proposed "Cooperative Agreement for Investi-
gation of Water Resources", to be conducted by the Geological
Survey United States Department of the Interior, for the per-
iod commencing July 1, 1971 to June 30, 1972; and
WHEREAS, this agreement contemplates that the Federal Govern-
ment will contribute $20,500. 00, and the CITY OF MIAMI DEPARTMENT
OF WATER AND SEWERS and the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH will contribute
$20,500. 00 toward the cost of such geological survey, the City
of Miami Department of Water and Sewers to bear $3,000. 00 plus
767 and the City of Miami Beach to bear 247 of said amount of
$17 ,500. 00; additional amounts to be paid by the parties during
the period above mentioned or succeeding periods as may be determined
by mutual agreement to be set forth in an exchange of letters be-
tween the parties ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
deems it to be in the best interest of the City, and its citizens
and residents , to enter into said agreement , the City Council be-
ing familiar with the terms thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH FLORIDA, that the proper officials of the
City of Miami Beach be, and they are hereby authorized and directed
to execute said agreement in the name of and on behalf of said City,
and that the proper financial and disbursing officers of the City
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to disburse the sums
called for by said agreement.
