SUBJECT: PORTABLE LIGHT TOWERS AT NO TH SHORE OPEN SPACE PARK
The purpose of this LTC is to notify City Commission of a collaborative effort between
the Parks and Recreation Department and the Police Department to station five portable
light towers at North Shore Open Space Park (Collins Ave ygth St-syth St), beginning
Thursday, June 291h.

These light towers will be strategically posted throughout the park. All illumination will be
directed into the park, away from neighboring residential units and the beachfront. Light
towers will be turned on by 8:00 p.m. and turned off at approximately sunrise.
These protective measures are an additional step in providing a safe and enjoyable
experience for residents and park patrons. Park hours will not be affected and ·will
adhere to regular hours of operation.
