RESOLUTION NO. 73-13874
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, URGING THE
METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY COMMISSION TO
ACQUIRE THAT CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND SITUATE
ON PINE TREE DRIVE AND COMMONLY KNOWN AS
THE "CONSOLO" PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has duly found and determined that the following
described parcel of land, to wit :
TRACT "B" INDIAN BEACH CORP.
SUBDIVISION, Plat Book 8,
page 61, (commonly known as
the "Consolo" property)
is needed and required for public parks and recreational purposes ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it is just, reasonable,
equitable and appropriate that Metropolitan Dade County, Florida,
acquire with all reasonable speed, through negotiation or by
condemnationroceedin s, title to said
p g parcel of land for said
purposes, provided however, that the City of Miami Beach shall
thereafter develop, maintain and operate the same, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Metropolitan Dade County Commis-
sion be and it is hereby urged to proceed, with all due speed, to
acquire said parcel of land as aforesaid with a proviso that it
shall be the duty and obligation of the City of Miami Beach to
develop, maintain and operate said land for said public parks
and recreational purposes, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a copy of this Resolution be trans-
mitted to each member of the Metropolitan Dade County Commission
and to its County Manager.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of January 1973 .
