WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, deems it to be necessary for the welfare of said City
and its inhabitants that the following described parcel of land
situate, lying and being in Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida,
be acquired for public parks and recreational purposes, to wit:
TRACT "B" INDIAN BEACH CORP.
SUBDIVISION, Plat Book 8,
page 61 (otherwise known as
the "Consolo" property)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that S . Z. Bennett, American
Institute of Appraisers, the City' s real estate consultant, be
and he is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to negotiate
with the owners of the hereinabove described parcel of land, and
to determine if an agreement regarding the consideration and
other provisions for the sale and purchase thereof can be reached,
and to report his findings, conclusions, and recommendations to
the City Council with all reasonable dispatch.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of January 1973.
