WHEREAS , on February 18 , 1971, the City of Miami Beach
entered into an agreement with HAZEN-TRANE SERVICE AGENCY
for the maintenance and servicing of air conditioning equip-
ment in Miami Beach Convention Hall North, for a five (5)
year period, terminable upon thirty (30) days written notice,
at an annual rate of One Thousand Six Hundred Seventy-Two
($1, 672. 00) DOLLARS payable in twelve (12) installments;
and
WHEREAS , said contract provides for a contract price
adjustment if the prevailing cost of labor rise during the
contract term; and
WHEREAS, HAZEN-TRANE SERVICE AGENCY has duly notified
the City of Miami Beach that because of said contingency,
it is now necessary to increase the annual contract price
to One Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty ($1,980. 00) Dollars,
or an increase of Twenty-Five and 67/00 ($25. 67) Dollars
per month; and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has to February 10, 1973, the option to accept
the increase price or to terminate the said contract; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
deems it in the best interest of the City of Miami Beach
and its residents that the said increase price be accepted
and the existing contract remain in force,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the new annual rate
under said contract of One Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty
($1,980. 00) Dollars be, and the same is hereby accepted, and
that the proper administrative officials of the City be
directed and authorized to so advise HAZEN-TRANE SERVICE
AGENCY, and that the additional disbursement required thereby
be and the same is hereby authorized and directed to be made.
