73-13905 RESOLUTION NO. 73-13905
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, has determined that a study in depth should
be made into the feasibility of a project for the development
of a Tennis Center in the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS , the Acting City Manager has made an
appropriate study of those persons or firms qualified to
perform such study, and following such inquiry, the Acting
City Manager has duly recommended the employment of VTN, INC.
and STEFAN H. ZACHAR,AIA, Architect, to make such study; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, deems it to be in the best interest of the City to
employ said VTN, INC. and STEFAN H. ZACHAR for said purpose;
and
WHEREAS, a suitable Letter Agreement has been prepared,
and which has been approved as to form by the City Attorney;
and
WHEREAS , said Letter Agreement calls for the scope of
work to be performed as set forth in said Letter Agreement;
and
WHEREAS , said Letter Agreement provides for compensation
to be paid by the City of Miami Beach to the said VTN, INC. and
STEFAN H. ZACHAR of a lump sum fee of Fifteen Thousand Dollars
($15, 000) payable in five (5) equal monthly progress installments;
last installment to be made upon completion and acceptance of the
final report; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, deems it to be in the best interest of the City that
said Letter Agreement be entered into,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk-
Finance Director be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
execute said Letter Agreement in the name, and in behalf of, the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, and the proper Financial Officers of
the City are hereby authorized and directed to make the disburse-
ments called by said Letter Agreement.
