A RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION AND APPRE-
CIATION FROM THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ITS CITI- •
ZENS AND RESIDENTS TO THE ADMINISTRATION,
STAFF AND PERSONNEL OF JACKSON MEMORIAL
HOSPITAL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, for itself, its individual members, and
on behalf of all of the citizens and residents of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, that the administration, staff and all
personnel of JACKSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL be and they are hereby
personally and officially praised and commended for the exem-
plary manner in which they and each of them rendered swift
competent medical aid to those unfortunate persons injured in
the conflagration at the Concord Cafeteria, 1921 Collins Avenue,
Miami Beach, Florida, on February 2, 1973. The residents and
the citizens of the City of Miami Beach are, and will continue
to be profoundly grateful and appreciative for the highly pro-
fessional, yet compassionate and sympathetic manner in which
each member of the administration, staff and all personnel per-
formed his or her duties, under the most difficult, trying and
emergency circumstances. The preparedness and readiness which
the administration, the staff, and all personnel of JACKSON
MEMORIAL HOSPITAL manifested in those trying hours is meritor-
ious of the highest possible praise and approbation which this
community can bestow upon JACKSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL and its ad-
ministration, and evidences the total and complete preparedness
with which this exemplary institution is prepared to meet any
emergency affecting the people of this community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread
upon the minutes of the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, and that authenticated copies thereof be presented to
the administration and staff of JACKSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL and
for distribution to all interested personnel.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of February, 1973.
