RESOLUTION NO. 73-13915
A RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION AND APPRECIATION
FROM THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, ITS CITIZENS AND RESIDENTS TO
THE ADMINISTRATION, STAFF AND PERSONNEL OF
SOUTH SHORE HOSPITAL
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, for itself, its individual members, and on behalf
of all of the citizens and residents of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, that the administration, staff and all personnel of "
SOUTH SHORE HOSPITAL be and they are hereby personally and official-
ly praised and commended for the exemplary manner in which they
and each of them rendered swift competent medical aid to those
unfortunate persons injured in the conflagration at the Concord
Cafeteria, 1921 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, on February 2, 1973.
The residents and the citizens of the City of Miami Beach are,
and will continue to be profoundly grateful and appreciative for
the highly professional, yet compassionate and sympathetic manner
in which each member of the administration, staff and all personnel
performed his or her duties , under the most difficult, trying and
emergency circumstances . The preparedness and readiness which the
administration, the staff, and all personnel of SOUTH SHORE HOSPITAL
manifested in those trying hours is meritorious of the highest
possible praise and approbation which this community can bestow
upon SOUTH SHORE HOSPITAL and its administration, and it evidences
the total and complete preparedness with which this exemplary ins-
titution is prepared to meet any emergency affecting the people of
this community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread
upon the minutes of the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, and that authenticated copies thereof be presented to
the administration and staff of SOUTH SHORE HOSPITAL and for dis-
tribution to all interested personnel.
PASSED and ADOPTED this7th day of February, 1973.
