RESOLUTION NO. 73-13926
A RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION FOR
POLICE SERGEANT RICHARD L. TOBIN.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that RICHARD L. TOBIN, Sergeant of Police
of the Police Department of the City of Miami Beach, be and he
is hereby formally and officially commended for his exemplary
efforts and tireless energies expended by him for and with, and
on behalf of, the Miami Beach Police Athletic League, and its
goals and activities in fostering, encouraging and enhancing the
development of our youth through the precepts and ideals of
healthful and competitive sports and activities,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, for itself and for each individual
member thereof and for and on behalf of all of the citizens and
residents of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that official
recognition and appreciation be had and made of the tireless
energies and unending inspiration which he has given to the
innumerable participants encouraged and fostered by the Miami
Beach Police Athletic League. The said SERGEANT RICHARD L. TOBIN,
not content with resting upon his own shining laurels as an
accomplished and gifted professional athlete and police officer,
has nobly sacrificed his time and energy to the advancement and
enhancement of the ideals and objectives of the Miami Beach Police
Athletic League. Said SERGEANT RICHARD L. TOBIN has, indeed, been
an ideal prototype for his youthful charges . His stalwart physique
and genial and affable countenance and personality have been a
constant inspiration to his acolytes . Every impulse of his
heart, and faculty of his mind, has been devoted to bringing the
youth of this community into harmony with the highest and noblest
precept and principles of the true democratic and American way of
life. His heart is ever with the youth with whom he comes into
contact, and by his every word, precept and action, he has taught
his charges to never falter from the path of rectitude and virtue,
and every fiber of his being is ever-ready to counsel, advise,
and inspire the youth of his direction to achieve the ultimate
in their capacities and endowments not only for the present, but
in all future years to come. His name and fame will forever live
in the hearts of his proteges and his activities will forever
remain a bright and shining chapter in this City' s history, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that this resolution be spread upon the
official records of this Council, and that appropriate authenticated
copy thereof be presented personally to SERGEANT RICHARD L. TOBIN.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of February 1973 .
