73-13940 RESOLUTION NO. 73-13940
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has entered into a
contract, dated September 6, 1967, with LEO GROSSMAN, M.D. ,
for medical and ancillary services performed by the said LEO
GROSSMAN, M.D. , while holding the office of City Physician;
and
WHEREAS, said contract dated September 6, 1967 was
duly amended by Resolution No. 12920 and by the Agreement en-
tered pursuant thereto dated December 17, 1969, and
WHEREAS, said Agreement provided that the term of
the contract would terminate on July 10, 1973 at a rate of
Seventeen Thousand Six Hundred Dollars (17, 600.00) per year,
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is desirous of in-
creasing the term of said contract up to and including July
10, 1978 at an annual compensation of Seventeen Thousand Six
Hundred Dollars ($17, 600. 00) per year, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has prepared an Agreement
setting forth the terms thereof, with which the City Council
is familiar, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best
interest of the City to enter into such agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor
and the City Clerk and Finance Director be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the said Agreement in the
name of and on behalf of said City, and that the proper dis-
bursing and financial officers of the City make the disburse-
ments called for by said Agreement from funds of the City
available for such purpose.
