WHEREAS, the existing form of contract under which
the City employs physicians to accompany City ambulances requires
revision so as to eliminate all provisions regarding collection
of fees from persons receiving such services and requiring the
physician to account to the City for such fees, and
WHEREAS, this revision is necessary in view of the
City's elimination of these fees and charges and an appropriate
revision of the contract has been prepared by the City Attorney,
and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of
Miami Beach, its inhabitants and residents, that all existing
contracts entered into by physicians for the rendition of pro-
fessional services on ambulances be revised and re-executed in
accordance with the attached proposed form of agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk-Finance Director be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to execute such revised agreements in the name of and
on behalf of said City.
