WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has determined to build a Community Center Addition to
the North Shore Community Center on Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to employ an architect in con-
nection with the construction of said addition; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
has determined that it is in the best interests of the City of
Miami Beach and its inhabitants to employ the firm of Lemuel
Ramos A.I .A./Associates, for a maximum fee of $5, 600 for basic
services of Architect as described in a proposed agreement,
and for Architect ' s additional services as also set forth in
said proposed agreement, a fixed rate of $30.00 per hour for
Lemuel Ramos, A.I.A. , and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared between the
City of Miami Beach and Lemuel Ramos A.I .A./Associates, with
compensation as stated above; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has approved the agreement
as to form, and the City Manager has recommended that the City
Council enter into the same; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
is familiar with the provisions of said agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk and Finance Director be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to execute the said agreement in the name of and on
behalf of the said City, and the disbursing officers of the City
are hereby authorized and directed to disburse the monies re-
quired by the terms of said agreement from funds of the City
available for such purpose.
