WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is
hereby ordered to be made : The City Council hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under Section 29 and 30 of the City
Charter:
WW-161 Both sides of Tatum Waterway Drive from Seventy-
Seventh (77th) Street to Eighty-First (81st) Street
To be improved with a whiteway lighting system of
ornamental posts and lamps at approximately one
hundred sixty (160) feet apart on each side together
with necessary transformers and other appurtenances
and with underground connections for lighting.
As said Drive and Streets are shown on plat recorded
in Plat Book Forty-Six (46) , Page Two (2) of the
Public Records of Dade County, Florida and as Seventy-
Ninth (79th) Street, Eightieth (80th) Street and
Eighty-First (81st) Street are named and designated
in City of Miami Beach Ordinance No. 232.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
City Clerk Plans and Specifications of said improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the expenses
of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection and superintendence
of the work, the preparation of Plans and Specifications and Estimates,
the printing and publication of Notices and Proceedings, the prepara-
tion of Bonds, interest during construction, legal services, abstracts,
etc. , and any other expenses necessary and proper in conducting the
proceedings and work herein provided for; and the estimated amount to
be assessed against each front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost of
such improvement is hereby designated as District WW-161 and is
described as follows:
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on Tatum
Waterway Drive from Seventy-Seventh (77th) Street to
Eighty-First (81st) Street.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property
the City Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such
portion of the total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total
cost as the length of the street intersections bears to the total
street frontage within the district.
The improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments
and bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW-161, and the property against
which assessments therefore may be made for the cost thereof shall be
designated as District WW-161.
