73-14005 RESOLUTION NO. 73-14005
WHEREAS, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks,
both nationally and locally, has fostered and maintained programs
intended and designed for the fostering and encouragement of the
creative faculties of the Youth of this Nation and for extending
every possible aid and assistance to the Youth of this Nation in
achieving their fullest rightful measure of their heritage as
American Youth, and
WHEREAS, City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
desires to commend not only the National and State officers of the
Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and particularly the officers
of the City of Miami Beach Lodge No. 1601, but also to aid, assist,
and cooperate in every possible manner with the said Benevolent and
Protective Order of Elks in their laudable Youth Program as afore-
said,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the week of May 1 through
May 7, 1973, be and the same is hereby officially proclaimed as
"Elks Youth Activities Week" and that the citizens and residents
of the City of Miami Beach be and they are hereby formally requested
to aid, assist and cooperate in every possible degree in making
said "Elks Youth Activities Week" a memorable and outstanding
period in the civic life of this community.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of May , 1973 .
