A RESOLUTION EXTENDING PRESENT CONCESSION
AGREEMENT WITH BAYSHORE GREENS , INC. , TO
JULY 15, 1973 .
WHEREAS, the agreement between the City of Miami Beach
and Bayshore Greens, Inc . , for the operation of the several
concessions at Bayshore Golf Course expires on. July 6, 1973, with
the annual closure being scheduled for July 7 through August 7,
1973 , for repairs and maintenance; and
WHEREAS, bids are being received for a new five-year
concession agreement, with the bid opening date being scheduled
for June 13, 1973; and
WHEREAS, City Council was scheduled to receive said
bids and the Administration's recommendation thereon at its
regular meeting scheduled for June 20, 1973; and
WHEREAS, for compelling reason, the regular Council
meeting scheduled for June 20, 1973, has been postponed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Council does
hereby find and determine that it is in the best interests of the
City and its citizens that the present concessionaire, Bayshore
Greens, Inc. , be permitted to operate under its present conces-
sion agreement until the close of business, Sunday, July 15, 1973,
under the same terms and conditions set forth in said concession
agreement; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the said golf course be closed for
the four-week period beginning Monday, July 16, 1973, through
Friday, August 10, 1973, with the scheduled reopening of said
golf course under a new concession agreement commencing on
Saturday, August 11, 1973 .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of June , 1973 .
