73-14048 RESOLUTION NO. 14048
WHEREAS, the existing concession contract between
the City of Miami Beach and Bayshore Greens, Inc . , for the opera-
tion of the several concessions at Bayshore Golf Course expires
on July 15, 1973, and
WHEREAS, competitive bids for a new five-year concession
contract were duly advertised for, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has advised the City Council
that in response to said invitations for bids, five bidders
submitted their respective proposals, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has duly recommended to the
City Council that the lump sum bid of $515, 000 made by Jerry ' s
Caterers Inc. , of Miami, Florida, is the highest and best bid
meeting specifications and has, therefore, duly recommended that
the said contract and agreement covering a five-year period from
July 16, 1973, through and including July 15, 1978, be awarded
to said Jerry' s Caterers, Inc . , Miami, Florida, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate agreement has been prepared
setting forth the terms and conditions for the operation of said
concession at said Bayshore Golf Course, and the manner and mode
of payment to the City under the provisions thereof, and said
agreement having been approved as to form by the City Attorney,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that said Jerry 's Caterers,
Inc . , of Miami, Florida, be and it is hereby found and determined
to be the highest and best bidder meeting specifications and that
it should be and it is hereby awarded the right and privilege of
operating and maintaining the concessions for said Golf Course
as set forth in the specifications made a part of said proposed
agreement, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the Acting City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized to execute and deliver said
agreement in the name and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida.
