73-14055 RESOLUTION NO. 73-14055
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has requested that the
contract authorized by City Council Resolution No. 73-14018
with Harold Lewis Malt Associates, Inc. , for the Law Enforcement
Assistance Administration project designated "Project for
Illumination of High Crime Areas" be modified in accordance with
a letter from Harold Lewis Malt to Dr. Jeffrey M. Silbert, Director,
Criminal Justice Planning Unit, and
WHEREAS , the City Council deems it to be in the best
interests of the City of Miami Beach and its inhabitants, that
said agreement be modified in accordance with said letter and
WHEREAS , an appropriate amendatory agreement has been
prepared and approved as to form by the City Attorney and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the execution
of said amendatory agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the
Acting City Clerk be and they hereby are authorized and directed
to execute the said agreement in the name of and on behalf of
said City of Miami Beach, and the disbursing officers of the City
are hereby authorized and directed to disburse the monies required
by the terms of said agreement from Law Enforcement Assistance
Administration funds granted to the City, unless otherwise
authorized by the City Council.
