WHEREAS , the Optimists Club of Ives Estate has
requested a renewal of an annual lease of a portion of the
City ' s "Ojus Dump Property" for a period commencing October 1,
1973, to September 30, 1974, for use as playground facilities,
and
WHEREAS , appropriate insurance policies have been
procured by said Optimists Club in accordance with the require-
ments of the City Manager, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recDmmended the entry
into an agreement extending said lease for said period of time,
and the City Council deems it to be in the best interests of
the City of Miami Beach and its inhabitants that said extension
agreement be entered into, and the form of said agreement being
approved by City Attorney,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and Acting
City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
agreement on behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
