Ordinance 531 ORDINANCE NO. 531
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY CF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, PROHIBITING THE
RESIDING UPON BOATS ANCHORED OR TIED
TO DOCK WITHIN CERTAIN LAKES AND
INLAND WATERWAYS IN THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to
reside upon any boat anchored or tied to dock with-
in the following Lakes and Inland Waterways in the City of Miami
Beach:
Lake Pancoast
Sunset Lake
Surnrise Lake
Collins Cpnal
Indian Creek
Biscayne Waterway
Surprise Waterway
Flamingo Waterway, or
Normandy Waterway,
provided that this ordinance shall not apply to one watchman
who shall live upon any boat while so anchored in said lakes
or waterways or while tied to the dock of the owner of said
boat.
SECTION 2 : All ordinances andparts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.

No. 531 entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, PROHIBITING THE RESIDING UPON BOATS ANCHORED OR TIED
TO DOCK WITHIN CERTAIN LAKES AND INLAND WATERWAYS IN THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA", having been passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted
by me in three conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one
of which was at the door of the City Hall in said City on the 8th
day of December, A. D. , 1938, and that said ordinance remained
posted for a period of at least thirty days in accordance with
the requirements of the City Charter of the said City of Miami
Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand
and affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
on this the 30th day of January, A. D. , 1939.
