SUBJECT: MEMBERS OF THE MIAMI BEACH TEEN CLUB TO JOIN ROGER
WATERS (PINK FLOYD) ON STAGE
The purpose of this LTC is to notify the Mayor and City Commission of the exciting
opportunity presented to 12 of our drama participants from the Parks and Recreation
Department Miami Beach Teen Club thanks to our friends and community partners at
AYUDA (Adults and Youth with Unmet Needs Deserve Attention).
On July 13, 2017 as part of the Roger Waters Us + Them Tour at the American Airlines
Arena, our teens will enjoy a dress rehearsal with the band, receive autographed photos
of the band as well as costumes used in the show, have seating in the orchestra pit for
the show and last but definitely not least, will perform with Roger in a choreographed
routine to Another Brick In The Wall (Part II).
AYUDA spoke to the show producers about the many plays performed by the drama
participants from the Miami Beach Teen Club and their use of Pink Floyd music as part
of their performances. We are very thankful for the opportunity and are super excited to
see our teens 'Rock On".
