A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT
TO AGREEMENT WITH DR. LEO GROSSMAN FOR THE
PERFORMANCE OF DUTIES AS CITY PHYSICIAN FOR AN
ADDITIONAL PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS AND THREE MONTHS
EXPIRING SEPTEMBER 30, 1988 WITH COMPENSATION TO
BE INCREASED FROM $25,000 PER ANNUM TO $35,000
EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 1982.
WHEREAS, the existing agreement between the City of Miami Beach and Dr.
Leo Grossman for the performance of the duties of City Physician as set forth therein
expires on July 10, 1983, and
WHEREAS, the City and said Physician mutually desire to amend said agreement
for an additional period of five (5) years and three months ending on September 30, 1988
with the rate and manner of compensation of $35,000 per annum, payable in equal biweekly
amounts of $1,341.00, to be effective October 1, 1982, and
WHEREAS, an amendment to said agreement has been approved accordingly by
the City Attorney, and the City Commission being familiar with the terms thereof, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it is in the best interest of the City
and its citizens that said amendatory agreement be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to execute said amendatory agreement and the finance officers of
the City be and they are hereby authorized and directed to make the payments thereby
required.
