A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND
DAVID PLUMMER AND ASSOCIATES FOR THE
PREPARATION OF A TRAFFIC CIRCULATION AND
PARKING STUDY REQUIRED BY A LOCAL GOVERNMENT
COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
GRANT
WHEREAS, on September 16, 1981, the City Commission via Resolution No.
81-16771 authorized the City Manager to prepare an application requesting financial
assistance under the State of Florida's Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act
Assistance Fund Program; and
WHEREAS, on October 26, 1981, the City was officially notified that its
application for financial assistance under the Local Government Planning Act Assistance
Fund Program was selected to receive a maximum grant award of $20,000; and
WHEREAS, on January 20, 1982, a contract was signed between the City of
Miami Beach and the State of Florida Department of Veteran and Community Affairs
awarding the City $20,000 for the completion of specific professional and technical
services; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission on September 15, 1982 authorized the City
Administration to negotiate an agreement between David Plummer and Associates and the
City of Miami Beach for completion of a Traffic Circulation and Parking Study to be
completed utilizing Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act Assistance Funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are
hereby authorized to execute an agreement for and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach
with the firm of David Plummer and Associates for the preparation of a Traffic
Circulation and Parking Study.
