A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING
FOR DECEMBER 15 , 1982 AT 11 :00 A.M. TO CONSIDER
AN AMENDMENT TO ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1891 , TO
MODIFY REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO ADULT CONGREGATE
LIVING FACILITIES CONTAINED IN SECTION 6 , USE
DISTRICT REGULATIONS , AND SECTION 9 , PARKING
REGULATIONS, AND TO CREATE A NEW SECTION 27 , ADULT
CONGREGATE LIVING FACILITIES , WHICH SECTIONS WILL
CONTAIN SPECIFIC LOCATIONAL CRITERIA FOR ADULT
CONGREGATE LIVING FACILITIES AND WILL CONSIDER THE
IMPOSITION OF A MORATORIUM FOR ACCEPTING NEW AP-
LICATIONS FOR ADULT CONGREGATE LIVING FACILITIES.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami
Beach is desirous of amending the Zoning Ordinance as it
relates to Adult Congregate Living Facilities ; and
WHEREAS , the Miami Beach Planning Board will rec-
ommend such amendments to the City Commission of the City
of Miami Beach,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Com-
mission of the City of Miami Beach calls a Public Hearing for
December 15 , 1982 at 11 :00 A.M. to consider an amendment to
Zoning Ordinance No. 1891, to modify regulations pertaining
to Adult Congregate Living Facilities contained in Section 6 ,
Use District Regulations, and Section 9 , Parking Regulations ,
and to create a new Section 27 , which Sections will contain
specifice locational criteria for Adult Congregate Living
Facilities and will consider the imposition of a moratorium
for accepting new applications for Adult Congregate Living
Facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City
Clerk give notice to the public by publishing a suitable ad-
vertisement in the local press.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of November, 1982 .
