A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 82-17070 CREATING THE MAYOR'S AD HOC TASK
FORCE ON REDEVELOPMENT BY CHANGING ITS NAME TO
THE MAYOR'S AD HOC COMMITTEE ON PLANNED AREA DE-
VELOPMENT FOR SOUTH SHORE.
Resolution No. 82-17070 is hereby amended as follows:
SECTION 1
The City Commission finds that South Beach Redevelopment
is a matter of the highest priority to the City of Miami
Beach. All persons interested in the welfare of the City
agree that prompt and definitive action is needed to sti-
mulate redevelopment, in one form or another . The City
Commission finds that a task €eeee committee would be
helpful to advise the Mayor and the Commission of the
Redevelopment Agency' s plans for implementation of rede-
velopment, and the advisability of seeking alternative
plans if no successful bidder is selected.
SECTION 2
It is hereby resolved by the City Commission of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida that the Mayor ' s ad hoc task
€efee ea Redevelepmea€ Committee on Planned Area
Development for South Shore is created to serve as an
advisory committee fee a peried ef ene year to commence
forthwith to conduct hearings, to investigate all
redevelopment issues, and to report regularly to the
Miami Beach Mayor and City Commission. The task €eeee
committee shall be composed of seven persons to be
appointed by the Mayor . but shall net eenveae until after
August 16; 1988 and will net eesvene at all if a
sseeess€til bidder is selee€ed
