A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREE-
MENTS WITH THE INVESTMENT COUNSEL COMPANY OF THE
SOUTHEAST, THORNDIKE, DORAN, PAINE & LEWIS ,
INC. , AND M.D. SASS INVESTORS SERVICE, INC. FOR
SERVICES AS INVESTMENT COUNSEL FOR THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH GENERAL EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYS-
TEM.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Retirement System
for General Employees has recommended to the City Commission that
The Investment Counsel Company of the Southeast, Thorndike, Doran,
Paine & Lewis, Inc. , and M.S . Sass Investors Service, Inc. be re-
tained as Investment Counsel under the terms and conditions set
forth in the agreements which are attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
has determined said recommendations are well-founded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Com-
mission be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said Agreements for and in behalf of the City of Miami Beach, and the
appropriate financial officers of the City of Miami Beach be and
they are hereby authorized and directed to pay and disburse the sum
set forth in said Agreements.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of December , 1982.
