A RESOLUTION WAIVING THE $1. 00 PER DAY GUEST FEE
AT THE MIAMI BEACH YOUTH CENTER FOR PARTICIPANTS
IN THE SECOND ANNUAL INVITATIONAL TEAM ICE SKATING
COMPETITION ON DECEMBER 17 , 18 , and 19 , 1982 .
WHEREAS , the Ice Skating Institute of America has endorsed
an amateur event in the interest of recreational ice skating to
be held in Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, invitations to thirty-five ice skating clubs
from New York, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Texas,
Tennessee, Louisiana, Georgia, Mississippi , Alabama, and
Florida will be sent, and
WHEREAS, over 300 amateur skaters will be able to compete
in nine divisions and earn medals for first, second and third
places;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, that participants in this competition
be permitted free entry to the Youth Center on December 17 , 18 ,
and 19 , 1982 .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of December , 1982 .
