RESOLUTION NO. 83-17271
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT WITH MR. STEPHEN CYPEN FOR SERVICES AS
PRIVATE LEGAL COUNSEL FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH GENERAL EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, and pursuant to Section 9 . 03 of Pension Ordinance
1901, the Board of Trustees of the Retirement System for General
Employees has recommended to the City Commission that Stephen Cypen,
Esquire, be retained to act as the Board' s private legal counsel
under the terms and conditions set forth in the agreement which is
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS , the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
has determined said recommendation is well-founded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Agreement for and in behalf of the City of Miami Beach, and the
proper financial officers of the City of Miami Beach be and they are
hereby authorized and directed to pay and disburse the sum set forth
in the Agreement.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 16th day of February, 1983.
