RESOLUTION NO. 83-17281
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, WAIVING THE GREENS FEES FOR
MIAMI BEACH SUN & FUN COLLEGIATE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE.
(Bayshore Golf Course - October 16, 17, 18, 1983)
WHEREAS, for the reasons more particularly set forth in Commission
Memorandum No. 131-83 , the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
finds it in the best interest of the City to waive the greensfees for
Miami Beach Sun & Fun Collegiate Tournament Committee;and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends the City waive said fees, and
the City Attorney has approved same as to legality.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the greensfees for the Miami Beach Sun &
Fun Collegiate Tournament Committee be waived.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of March,1983

SUBJECT: WAIVER OF GREE FEES FOR MIAMI BEACH SUN & FUN COLLEGIATE
GOLF TOURNAMENT - OCTOBER 16, 17, 18, 1983.
Attached hereto is a letter requesting the privilege of holding
the 1983 Miami Beach Sun & Fun Collegiate Golf Tournament at
Bayshore Golf Course on October 16, 17, 18, 1983. Request is
also made for the waiver of green fees for this event. There
are usually 50 - 80 college students participating, including
approximately six (6) teams coming from northern schools.
A fund raiser is planned for October 15, 1983 but green fees for
this will not be waived.
This tournament and fee waiver has been approved for approximately
the past six (6) years.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
This tournament provides substantial positive publicity and good
will for the City of Miami Beach. Fees will be waived for college
players only. Recommend approval .
