A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION CALLING A PUBLIC
HEARING ON MAY 4, 1983 TO CONSIDER THE RECOMMENDATION OF
THE PLANNING BOARD OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FOR THE
ADOPTION OF A NEW ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE
NO. 1891 TO PROVIDE FOR REGULATIONS ALLOWING THE SALE AND
CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN THE C-1, C-2, C-3, C-4,
C-5, C-6, RM-100, RM-125, MR, MU, HM, CCC AND RH HOSPITAL
DISTRICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE CREATION OF A NEW SECTION
27, ENTITLED LIQUOR CONTROL REGULATIONS
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach, after a public
hearing held on March 22, 1983, recommended to the City Commission that Liquor Control
Regulations be incorporated into the Zoning Ordinance as approved and recommended by
said Board, said Ordinance being entitled as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1891 OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
THE SAME BEING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE;
PROVIDING FOR DEFINITIONS OF "BEER", "BLOCK", "INDIVIDUAL",
"LIQUOR", "RESTAURANT", "VENDOR", "WINE"; PROVIDING FOR
AMENDMENTS TO USES PERMITTED IN THE C-1 NEIGHBORHOOD
BUSINESS DISTRICT, C-2 GENERAL OFFICE DISTRICT, C-3
CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, C-4 CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT,
C-5 GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, C-6 INTENSIVE COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT, MR MARINE RECREATIONAL DISTRICT, MU MUNICIPAL
USE DISTRICT, HM HOTEL MOTEL DISTRICT, CCC CONVENTION
CENTER DISTRICT, RH HOSPITAL DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR
AMENDMENTS TO SECTION 7-3B ACCESSORY USES IN THE RM-100
MULTIPLE FAMILY MEDIUM HIGH DENSITY DISTRICT AND RM-125
MULTIPLE FAMILY HIGH DENSITY DISTRICT; CREATING SECTION 27
LIQUOR CONTROL REGULATIONS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
AND, WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly transmitted to
the City Commission pursuant to Section 16, Changes and Amendments, of Ordinance No.
1891.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public hearing for the consideration of the
aforementioned proposed zoning ordinance amendment is hereby called to be held before the
City Commission at its Chambers on the Third Floor of City Hall, 1700 Convention Center
Drive, Miami Beach, Florida beginning at 3:00 P.M. on the 4th day of May, 1983 and the City
Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish in a newspaper of general circulation in
the City of Miami Beach, at which time and place all interested parties will be heard.
PASSED and ADOPTED 6th day of April, 1983.
