A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH RINGLING BROS. BARNUM & BAILEY
COMBINED SHOWS, INC. FOR USE OF THE NORTH HALL
OF THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER ON APRIL 30
THROUGH MAY 16 , 1983 AND APRIL 15 THROUGH APRIL
30 , 1984.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with
RINGLING BROS. BARNUM & BAILEY COMBINED SHOWS, INC.
hereinafter referred to as LESSEE, said agreement having been
approved by the City Commission on
January 19 , 1983
for use of certain premises and facilities of the City of Miami
Beach, to-wit:
NORTH HALL OF THE MIAMI BEACH
CONVENTION CENTER
for the event known as:
WALT DISNEY'S GREAT ICE ODYSSEY
on
APRIL 30 THROUGH MAY 16 , 1983; and
APRIL 15 THROUGH APRIL 30 , 1984
1983 Series only: Lessee will add four (4) performance in
addition to the eighteen (18) set forth in the contract
for a total of twenty-two (22) performances.
and
WHEREAS, said LESSEE has requested an amendment to said
agreement as set forth in Commission Memorandum No. 235-83 , a
copy of which is included in the agenda for the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Amendment to Agreement, signed by
the said LESSEE and approved as to form and legal sufficiency by the
City Attorney, is attached hereto and made part hereof, the
provisions of which are familiar to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Amendment to the existing
lease agreement as set forth in said Commission Memorandum be and
the same is hereby accepted and approved, and the Mayor and City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Amendment to Agreement in the name of and on behalf of the City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of April, 1983.

AMENDMENT Lessee will add four (4) performances in addition to the
PURPOSE: eighteen (18) set forth in the contract for a total of

RATE: There will be an additional cost of $10,000.00 making a
total minimum guarantee of $55,000.00 or 10% of gross
receipts, after taxes, whichever sum is greater from sale
of admission tickets.
