RESOLUTION NO. 83-17338
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, TO SET TWO PUBLIC HEARINGS ON
THE 1st DAY OF June , 1983, AND ON THE
15th DAY OF June , 1983, TO CONSIDER
AMENDING SECTION 22-7(D) OF THE MIAMI BEACH ZONING
ORDINANCE. (Exception for Subsidized housing)
WHEREAS, the City Commission of Miami Beach has expressed as policy the
desire to encourage subsidized housing for the elderly and handicapped in the South Shore
Redevelopment Area in Resolution No. 83-17232; and
WHEREAS, the City's Legal Consultants, Freilich and Leitner, P.A., have advised
the City Attorney in a letter dated April 18, 1983, that Section 22-7(D), "Exception for
Subsidized Housing" of Zoning Ordinance 1891 "Interim Development District" should be
readopted by the City Commission after a public hearing by the Planning Board and two
public hearings by the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board has scheduled a public hearing on the amendment
to Section 22-7(D) of the Zoning Ordinance on May 16, 1983;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that public hearings will be held on
June 1 , 1983, and on June 15 , 1983, to consider
modifying Section 22-7(D), "Exception for Subsidized Housing" of the Miami Beach Zoning
Ordinance.
