A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH JEWELERS INTERNATIONAL
SHOWCASE, INC. FOR USE OF THE SOUTH HALL OF
THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER ON JANUARY
12 - 18, 1984 .
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with
JEWELERS INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE, INC.
hereinafter referred to as LESSEE, said agreement having been
approved by the City Commission on
October 20 , 1982
for use of certain premises and facilities of the City of Miami
Beach, to-wit:
SOUTH HALL OF THE
MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
for the event known as:
FINE JEWELRY AND DIAMOND SHOW
on
JANUARY 12 - 18, 1984
NEW DATES: JANUARY 12 - 17 , 1984
WHEREAS, said LESSEE has requested an amendment to said
agreement as set forth in Commission Memorandum No. 337-83 , a
copy of which is included in the agenda for the meeting at which
this Resolution was adopted, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Amendment to Agreement, signed
by the said LESSEE and approved as to form and legal sufficiency
by the City Attorney, is attached hereto and made part hereof, the
provisions of which are familiar to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Amendment to the
existing lease agreement as set forth in said Commission
Memorandum be and the same is hereby accepted and approved, and
the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said Amendment to Agreement in the name of and
on behalf of the City.

PURPOSE:
REASON: Lessee requested 3-day show instead of 4-day show
RATE: Lessee hereby covenants and agrees to pay the rental rates
which will prevail in 1984, as approved by the City
Commission subject to the following minimum rentals on
the above scheduled show:
40t per square foot sold with minimum guarantee of
$9,000.00
