A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH AMERICAN BANKERS ASSOCIATION
FOR USE OF THE NORTH HALL OF THE MIAMI BEACH
CONVENTION CENTER ON MAY 18-21, MAY 22-25, AND
MAY 26 , 1983 (AFTER THE FACT) .
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with
AMERICAN BANKERS ASSOCIATION
hereinafter referred to as LESSEE, said agreement having been
approved by the City Commission on
October 6 , 1982
for use of certain premises and facilities of the City of Miami
Beach, to-wit:
NORTH HALL, MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
for the event known as:
ABA NATIONAL OPERATIONS/AUTOMATION CONFERENCE
on May 18-21, 1983 - Move In
May 22-25 , 1983 - Show
May 26, 1983 - Move Out
NEW DATES:
May 18-21, 1983 - Move In
May 22-24, 1983 - Show
May 25-26, 1983 - Move Out
WHEREAS , said LESSEE has requested an amendment to said
agreement as set forth in Commission Memorandum No. 339-83 , a
copy of which is included in the agenda for the meeting at which
this Resolution was adopted, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Amendment to Agreement, signed
by the said LESSEE and approved as to form and legal sufficiency
by the City Attorney, is attached hereto and made part hereof , the
provisions of which are familiar to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Amendment to the
existing lease agreement as set forth in said Commission
Memorandum be and the same is hereby accepted and approved, and
the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said Amendment to Agreement in the name of and
on behalf of the City.

LEASE APPROVED: By Commission on October 6, 1982
AMENDMENT Change of show dates
PURPOSE:
REASON: Lessee requested 3-day show instead of 4-day show
RATE: 35c per square foot used with minimum guarantee of
$7,500 based on $2,500 per show day plus $2,500
for one extra move in day. The lessor acknowledges
receipt of the minimum guarantee. The remaining
$2,500 in escrow will be applied to the square
footage over the minimum guarantee.
RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE
