A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT EFFECTIVE JUNE
1, 1983, BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, AND
BERNARD ALLEN SIEGEL, A PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR,
FOR THE CONTINUED PERFORMANCE OF MIAMI BEACH
PROJECT EN-V.E.S.T., IN ACCORDANCE WITH
REGULATIONS SPECIFIED BY THE CONTRACT BETWEEN
THE SOUTH FLORIDA EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING
CONSORTIUM (SFETC) AND THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH.
WHEREAS, The City of Miami Beach is contracted with the South Florida
Employment and Training Consortium (SFETC) to operate the CETA Title II-B funded
Miami Beach Project EN-V.E.S.T.; and
WHEREAS, the City has operated said Miami Beach Project EN-V.E.S.T.,
at South Beach Elementary School since the adoption of Resolution 82-17215 on
December 15, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach had entered into two individual Sub-
Grantee Sub-Contracts to instruct Cuban Entrants in English and Vocational Training;
and
WHEREAS, the Sub-Grantee responsible for Vocational Training has not
fulfilled prescribed contractual requirements, as specified in the respective executed
Sub-Contract, Federal Regulations and requiremensts established in the South Florida
Employment and Training Consortium Policy and Procedures Manual; and
WHEREAS, the City Adminstration of the City of Miami Beach has
instituted an overall program reorganization;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Manager is hereby and duly
authorized to enter into and execute a Professional Services Agreement with Bernard
Allen Siegel, a Project Administrator, to successfully continue the operation of the
aforementioned Miami Beach Project EN-V.E.S.T., thereby replacing one of the prior
Sub-Contractors.
